"A question about Lady Sara."
Dear Laura:
My name's Amber and I'm a huge fan of your stories and your articles on Alt.com. I just recently finished reading your first Leatherwomen anthology and it was beyond wonderful, Maria K. Adar's story was one of the most beautiful discriptions of the feelings that grow in a BDSM relationship that I've ever read. I just ordered both the second and third volumes of Leatherwomen from Amazon and I can hardly wait for them to come in. My reason for emailing you though is that I was wondering if Lady Sara's story, Triangle, is continued in these other volumes?
I've searched on several different search engines and I can't find it or even mention of a writer in the Fetish community that's called Lady Sara, I may just be looking in the wrong places though. If it's not continued in the other voumes than I was hoping that maybe you could give me a link to where I can find the story. I really can't wait to see how and even if Kris gets her own boy and if her Daddy is a real man or like her (which is what I think it is *giggles*). I was really drawn into this story and I'm just hoping to finish it.
Thank you for you time.
Sincerely,
Amber
Dear Amber;
Well, with a slightly embarrassed cough, I must admit that, er...*I* am/was Lady Sara. It was my AOL name way back when I was a charter member, LOL. I wrote that story for a leatherdyke mailing list, and when the first Leatherwomen book was too short I tossed it in there.
I never finished it! Instead, the characters morphed into different shapes in later books. But I believe the end I had in mind was Kris earning Jazz's love and everyone living happily ever after. Something nice.
And, well. I was/am also Maria. See...when I was gathering stories for Leatherwomen, Pat Califia had *just* put out the call for The Second Coming and EVERY writer I knew sent their stories to her. (At the time, she was her.)
So, in desperation, I sort of...padded. A bit. That you spotted two of my efforts is astonishing, no one ever has before, to my knowledge. If I had a prize, you'd win it!
Laura
Find out why this writer "broke out in a full body blush and giggled for about a half hour" after receiving Laura's reply!
Ms. Antoniou,
I read your reply and I'm nearly too embarrassed to admit that I broke out in a full body blush and giggled for about a half an hour. After thinking about Triangle I can actually see how it's your writing, when I mentioned the stories in my previous email I honestly had no clue that you had written them they were just the stories that struck a chord with me the most. The last several paragraphs of We Never Speak of These Things have actually been printed out and posted on my refrigerator.
Now I'm even more excited about getting the second and third volume of Leatherwomen so that I can try to ferret out a few more of your anonymous contributions lol. Thank you for your work, you make a niche audience feel extremely well taken care of.
Sincerely,
Amber
